Please read this section carefully as it will help you to understand exactly what to expect in the interview process.
WHEN ARE APPLICATIONS DUE?
Worship Team Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis. When you turn in your application packet, you will be contacted within a few days to schedule your interview.
WHEN ARE THE INTERVIEWS?
Interviews are held at the end of our Worship Team rehearsals. We ask that you attend the entire rehearsal to observe the team and how we work.
Following rehearsal, a few members of the team will remain to participate in the interview.
WHAT HAPPENS IN THE INTERVIEW?
When you schedule your interview, you will be given a song to learn from the team’s repertoire. It should be a song that you’re familiar with. (If you are a vocalist, You will also be asked to pick a song that you would like to do.) You should come prepared to play/sing these songs well for the interview.
At the conclusion of the team’s rehearsal, we will invite you to play with the team using the song you were given to learn (or sing if you are a vocalist).
At the interview, you will also be given one song to sight-read. It will again be a song that the team has done before, so you will likely be familiar with it. The purpose of this is not to make you mess up, but to gauge your sight-reading skills. Don’t worry too much about this portion of the interview – we’re not expecting perfection here.
