Here are three things I hope you will consider this month:
1) re·fresh: in appearance, color, etc. Thirteen years ago the current facility called Grace Church was built. The building has been used for ministry over and over again. As you know, paint gets chipped, carpet gets worn and stained, colors become dull. We have received an incredible gift from a donor to kick start an interior refresh. This gift is a challenge gift to encourage us to come together and give. We are hoping to raise $15,000 over and above regular giving to do the following: painting of the lobby, cafe, library, hallways both downstairs and upstairs, new carpet in several areas, refurbishing the cafe and library as well as in Grace Kidz with updating electronic equipment, tables, and chairs. If you would like to be a part of refresh, simply go online to give or mark your gift in the offering: “refresh.” Envelopes are available at the Info Center. We ask that all giving to refresh be over and above what you normally give to Grace. Thank you in advance for your generosity as we refresh in order to create environments for people to Encounter God!
2) Sundays. Each week there are numerous people who spend many hours preparing for Sunday Gatherings at Grace. We are blessed to have a dedicated core who faithfully serve with joy to create an environment where people can encounter God. Would you make it a matter of prayer and priority to do a few things? First, if you are not serving, would you pray and ask God where He would like for you to serve? If you are interested in serving contact email@example.com. Next, from time to time, attendance can have huge swings. Every week we are having new people coming to check out Grace Church. These new folks typically arrive 10-15 minutes before the service starts. What do you think goes through their minds when they enter the auditorium and see only a hand full of people? Would you consider arriving a little earlier every week and be on the look out for new people to greet? Also, there seems to be a trend of attending church sporadically. If your attendance has been 1-2 times a month or less than that, I want to challenge you to make church a priority. You may be surprised by what God may do!
3) Research tells us that one great way to grow in your faith is to participate in a cross cultural project. If you would like to kick start growth in your relationship with Jesus you will want to check out joining the team going to Guatemala in July of 2019. Adam Rawlins will be leading this team and will be available to talk about the details after each Gathering in the lobby near the Info Center. Don’t be afraid to take a step into this adventure. God will walk with you as you do. For more info about Guatemala, simply email your questions to firstname.lastname@example.org.That’s it. I hope you will be praying and responding to what God says to you about each of these opportunities. I hope to see you this Sunday.
